What's My Religion?

What's My Religion?

I was orphaned in the cruel world

With no identity and reason of living

I wanted to know my religion

For others to determine a ritual for me after dying

I started the search to find my religion

With a burning desire to find peace

I wanted to know who will be my guru

Whether a pandit, pir or a priest

I saw thousands of people folding their hands

In front of a idol of God

It is called a temple by the people

Where everyone prayed to their dear lord

I saw thousands of people lightning the candles

Praying the God for happiness

It is called a church by the people

Where everyone come to forget their sadness

I saw thousands of people praying Namaz

Worshiping the God for their well being

It is called a mosque by the people

Where everyone come for imploring

I saw thousands of people outside these religious houses

Begging for food and money

They were called beggars by the people

But everyone ignored them which seemed funny

Atlast I decided to follow only one religion

Which was not Hinduism, Islam or Christianity

But it was a religion without any God and rituals

Everyone called it HUMANITY.
