What My Mom Taught

Since childhood, my mom told me to be strong like a mountain,

Stand tall with all the pain or depressed thoughts in your brain.

Let the mice bite or granite burst,

None of its effects should last.

One day in my mind a thought ceased,

Do my mom want me to be a beast?

But now I get what she preached,

Is be strong or else this world will snatch every single bite of your meat.

Everyone will stand tall,

Pick up your every call until you fall.

Once you are down and scroll,

No one will be there to help you haul.

All the cold nights you have to stand alone,

The people you are trusting will be gone.

So trust yourself and be confirmed,

Before the rain what comes is storm.
