BITTER SWEET CASSAVA
BITTER SWEET CASSAVA
Too many are sweet but to me bitter,
The majority measure it in metres but to me in litres,
When asked how it feels can't describe it really,
Confuses people leaving them dragging precariously,
Bitter cassava cassava loved but uneasy to bear.
Young and handsome boys storm into it not minding its heat,
Lesser knowing how much it wastes,
Storm before they learn how it works,
Squashing their minds thinking they are grown cocks,
Who will teach them how awful this cassava is?
Have taught and warned many youths,
How to cope with anxiety and its truth,
I haven't yet seen its usefulness,
Because has left many hopeless,
Although bitter many indulge in it.
Wonder why the world isn't easy to understand,
Need there's to heed and repurpose their stand,
Live peacefully with others,
Reform tattered matters,
Bitter and sweet cassava I quit.
