What happens to a dream

Does it freeze

Like a winter lake

Without the sun?

Or does it glow,

Like the snow

On the peaks

Of your cheeks?

 

Does it burn

In the blazing fire

Of jealousy for the dreams

That dreams about you?

 

Or does it share the carelessness

Of a sightless dreamer

On a rainbow?

 

Does it hold a dream

Inside a dream

Of a dream of you?

 

Or does it just flow

Like a beautiful

River of your laughter

On the lows?
