Friends are the people who make you smile

even though it may take a while

We raise each other up and make ourselves stronger

we can cross any mountain, river, or boulder together

Friends are there when times get tough

they are there when the seas are rough

Friends are kind and are always there to share

They right your wrongs, love, and care

There are many good times as there are bad

sometimes we quarrel and sometimes get mad

But good friends always seem to find a way

to get back together and make each other's day

When getting sad or feeling blue

friends will come and listen to you

A hug from them wouldn't seem ideal

but that act of kindness would feel surreal

'One act of kindness might not change the world is true

'But it'll change the world for one person gives a clue

for the idea of the ideal friendship to have

so treasure it forever and moments to pass

Friends have a rare superpower

Not like spying or going undercover

It's more humble, modest and loving

It's sharing, caring and forgiving

I love my friends that bit is true

There is nothing for them I wouldn't do

I treasure every moment we've spent together
