Weight You Carry
Weight You Carry
Have you ever thought about,
The unintentional pressure,
Of the weight you carry;
How you look at yourself,
In all your glory,
And often frown;
At those little imperfections.
Not letting go of a single burden,
Not okay with being called a clown,
Yes, it's not all hunky-dory;
This weight you carry,
Has more depth and history,
Than all the curves of your body;
Listen be gentle with your approach.
Let the mind and body be your guide,
It's okay not to pick a side,
All those you shamed you, made you cry;
Pain that's invisible to the naked eye,
Maybe because it's on the inside,
But make sure you still keep that pride;
And take every wounded feather in your stride.
