We Grew Old Together
We Grew Old Together
This town road, once
Paved in gold.
Shaded by flame trees
Shedding flowers down on you,
It feels like they adored you, too
Picturing a fierce youth.
Time, when heaven was
Jealous of your glory.
Nights, where fireflies
Excelled dazzling lights.
Laughs and love everywhere to see.
But, time spun too fast.
This night is still cold,
But you are no more the same.
These trees shredded and naked
No hope to shed on you nor me.
Lifes' so unreal when
Dreams pass thoughts,
When pain knots reality to fate,
Far beyond the truth
My heart knows a void space,
Getting to know it is when
Life turns so predictable
In uncertainties.
A teardrop fell down my eyes
Running through the face
Pausing for a while,
Raced to kiss your wounded frame
And whispered that, you'll never be alone.
And these stars in the night sky
Are not just stars, but are
The words left unspoken.
Like pearls, they shine hiding
A whole story of pain inside
From happiness to fate.
The light of misery is yet to come
Cause, the life in mystery is long gone.
