We Are Better Than You Think

We know what 'YOU' think of us,

"Oh! look what a fuss."

Let me remind you all,

Why we are evolving is nature's call.

You probably think we are nothing more than calling ourselves cool,

But, I apologize, if you think so, I will consider you a fool.

Let me try to clear your suspicion,

And for once, look our lives through our vision.

You blame us for being less responsible,

No, for most of 'OUR' situations, we are vincible.

Yes, we both have different ideas of fun,

We really live our lives on a run.

It's a competitive world,

And if we don't run, we will be the less responsible one.

Yes, we engage more with the opposite gender,

But we know the limits and our values that are too tender.

We socialize, we try to normalize the taboos,

But, I ask isn't it the right thing to do?

We fight racial, caste, and gender differences,

That helped a lot in breaking the societal norms and fences.

We don't blindly follow to respect others,

Respect begets respect is what matters.

Ok, let's just stop this blame game,

What's right, what's wrong, get it claimed.

Not all of 'US' is right,

And we agree you know the real fight.

But why we changed is not our fault,

Changes tend to happen because of the generation's vault.

What you know may have worked best for you,

But to impose it on us is somewhat rude.

We still respect you, your beliefs, and even our faults,

But if you can't do the same, the progress will be on halt.

Nothing has changed in a blink,

And I still believe, we are better than what you think.
