Way Of The Wise
Way Of The Wise
It took him twenty years of seamless joy,
Two decades of mixed fortunes
And a full year of unprecedented calm
Amid cyclones, quakes and pandemics,
To suspect he, as a man,
Was taken for a cosmic ride.

And set out
Abandoning wife, child and kingdom.
Our hero, wiser than the wisest,
Didn't budge;
He only pulled a blanket
Over himself and slept.
