Unrequited Love

With dreams to fulfill,in her eyes,

to "The City of Dreams",she arrived,

Life,most uncertain,as they say,

just as,she alighted, from the train,

a hand,on her shoulder,taken aback,

she turned around,in swift motion,

He splashed,not just on her face,but life,

endless misery,agony,pain, trauma,

next few months,the young braveheart,

courageously fought,the battle of life,

lost her voice,she would scribble her thoughts,

on bits and pieces of paper,

burns,scars, excruciating pain,

now,her companions,forever,

all,for just refusing him,

"Unrequited Love" snatched away,her precious life.
