Unparalleled Bond

People connect but never so quick,

Like a sorceress, you triggered a magic trick.

Your voice too gentle, your graceful fumble,

Like a serene reflection, you were too humble.

The way you talked, the ease you brought,

An hour's time felt way too short.

Days went by, the conversation became long,

In no real time, the connection felt strong.

If a hundred thoughts brought chills to spine,

You were a part of some ninety nine.

We gelled well, reciprocated well, sun started to shine upon us,

Everything seemed to fall in place, and was perfect, thus.

No wonder, it's often heard that happiness is a myth,

The moment you smile, comes the devil, standing tall like a monolith.

Overwhelmed by anguish, engulfed in pain, I now feel chronic,

True to the core is the phrase often iterated, 'Life is ironic'.

Though not around, you have been in my thoughts all this while,
