Unfulfilled Promises

The word promise is underrated,

Some are fulfilled and some are stated.

When there is an unfulfilled promise,

Always there are heartbreaks that harm me.

The mouth of lies is blindly believed,

With the promise of never to leave.

The expectations are broken and shattered,

The feelings are scattered.

These beautiful words leave me with a hurt,

Which makes me realize to be alert.

Never to trust anyone with their truths,

Be aware of the accusation.

The promise is a word to keep,

But at the same time makes me weep.

The love and care shown were fake,

As it didn't take a minute for the heart to break.

Hoping something good to happen was the only mistake I made,

As I didn't realize that my feelings were given for a trade.
