The Essence Of Christmas

This season is the most wonderful feeling in the world,

As we celebrate our saviour's birth.

Little baby Jesus was born in a manger,

Who knew that he would be praised, worshipped and adored by even strangers!

Shepherds and wise men were called upon through the angel and the star,

Who came to visit the Emmanuel from afar.

The Son of God was in human disguise,

He had to take this form to pay a great price.

The price he paid was the greatest gift to us all,

As we found our saviour, life-giver and all in all.

His death on the cross proclaims his love and affection,

His rising from death declares his resurrection.

Jesus is our commander and master,

Prince of peace and a wonderful counsellor.

If you need him in your heart to stay,

Accept him as your personal saviour today.

This is what we hope and pray,

That's why we celebrate Christmas day!!
