Two Promises
Two Promises
Those were the days filled with love and laughter,
The nights filled with passion and panting!
My ears filled with your promises,
My lips tasted your wildest kisses!
Your love made me feel like I was in heaven,
You promised to stay till we take vows seven!
Alas! All things are not meant to stay,
I remember it was the month of May,
Our conversations never crossed progressed from Hey!
It was the murder of those promises,
With which you tricked even my hypothalamus!
That day you broke everything inside me,
You took away my joy and all my glee!
That day I made a promise to myself,
Never to again let anyone in my heart,
Never to make someone my life's inevitable part!
Only with work and progress and self-love in my cart,
But seems universe loved me more than you could ever!
When it allowed somebody to break my that promise,
Who was not there to teach me lessons and make me clever,
Who wouldn't let me cry ever,
Who stayed till the longest forever!
