Travel To A New Planet

Well I saw something,

Oh! Was it a dream?

Sorry! I didn't realise.

Unusual with my eyes.

Pack we did,

All our clothes.

You ask me why,

Well who knows.

There was a rush in the city,

Oh! World I must mention.

Everyone was in a hurry,

Everywhere there was tension.

I walked on the streets,

Just to find out,

That we were leaving this world,

Without any doubt.

I was in a shock for a while,

For how can we do this to Earth?

Have really forgotten,

That this is the planet that gave us birth.

We are leaving this planet,

Instead of making it a better place.

Are we really sure that in a couple of years,

That new planet won't be replaced?

Replaced! with a better place,

Our Earth is going to be.

Of course it was a great step for humankind,

But it was not for me.

After roaming for a while,

I went inside.

To help my mom and dad,

Get ready for a ride.

My parents excited,

Entered the spaceship.

I was one among many people,

anxious about the trip.

And then like a stroke,

I came back.

To the world of reality,

Which my dream lacked.
