To My Dearest Grandfather
To My Dearest Grandfather
To my dearest grandfather,
I write an informal letter
For I call you to solve all jitter;
You have taken classes for grade seven
And tuition for class eleven,
But now I know that you are resting peacefully in heaven;
They say that Yama* took your soul with his rope,
But you will return and I still hope;
When I post a letter addressed to heaven,
The people in the post office
Think I am making a fuss;
Only a couple of letters they can tear;
Don't worry Gra
ndpa!
The love we have will never ever wear;
And there is a whole bunch of letters
Coming from your beloved family down here,
All of us hoping that you would be near;
Even though we can't see you,
The people who think about you are not just a few;
You have never really cared about money,
Sometimes you have it and sometimes you don't;
But whatever it is,
No one can live up to your legacy.
A tribute to my grandfather
