To be a Teacher

First day of my schooling

Affixed a dream deeply in my mind.

Shared the best moments with my teacher

They became our friends 

That filled my heart with full of love

Enacted like a teacher,

Draped a shawl, hold a chalk and stick

Took a book and a smile in the face too

Taught to the creeps and climbers near to the fence.

Years passed like seconds

Grades passed but the deep rooted dream stood in my heart

I became a teacher in my mind years back.

After a long journey of student life

Gifted a life with the students

Now am a teacher, a proud moment

For my parents, dear and near ones.

I'm stepping to reach into their heart

To be their best teacher

To remain in their heart forever

With my teaching style, love and care.
