Time's Bargain

Time flows like a river,

Nothing can be done to stop it.

There’s no one to control it,

Or stand against it.

Time’s bargain is a way of choice,

Of the deals you make with time.

The governance of its usage,

Is the sole way to modulate it.

There’s no disparity in thoughts as such,

But for time, it is unidirectional.

We walk against the past,

brush along the future,

Time is to now,

To go hand in hand with the present.
