The White Walls
The White Walls
Oh! These white walls!
Trying to engulf me overall.
All through the day and night,
Making me doubt my own eyesight.
Oh! These white walls!
Whether inside the room or down the hall.
Amidst the craziness of beeps and drips,
A cold fear awaits my presence to grip.
Oh! These white walls!
Why can't they be colorful like the mall?
In between my pains and aches,
I try hard to smile a smile that's fake.
Oh! These white walls!
Makes my stomach curl into a ball.
The stern faces of doctors and nurses,
I wonder if they're under their breath cursing.
Oh! These white walls!
Trying to break me before I even fall.
Days without food and nights without sleep,
Promises of forever here, are hard to keep.
Oh! These white walls!
It makes one wonder whether it's a final call.
No matter who's at my side,
It's finally my own battle to fight.
It's finally my own battle to fight...
