The Voyage Of Life

And..... The journey begun...

I started walking along the road of life.

Started enjoying the pleasant breeze, the soothing air.

Oops..! The sudden intense heat, the biting cold, the drenching rain -

I dodged, I moved, I hid.

Adhered to my preconceived notions to keep myself protected and safe.

Gave greatest efforts,

knuckled under the determination

to have a well-protected body,

a beautiful, adorable veil.

Successful I was in most of the cases

to walk under a shade when the sun was vigorous,

to drape a blanket when the winters were biting,

to have an umbrella on my head during downpours.

Eventually, started to dwell in the desired place -

safe from the changing seasons, safe from the antagonists.

To my surprise, when the journey was about to reach its destination,

something, during penultimate hours, started scorching

in the depths of my heart.

Alas..! The happiness and joy for which this whole

voyage was carried out was completely missing,

the desired caprice was nowhere to be felt.

The whole aberration gifted hidden gloom and an undesired agony.

             

The hidden truth, eventually, unveiled - 'the actual joy

resides only in the beautiful sun, rain, and snow'.

There's no point refraining from the ultimate truth of the world.

Playing in sun, dancing in rain, rolling on snow -

like every lad - was always a pleasure for me.
