Life Of A Tree
Life Of A Tree

Yes, I was a newborn at that time.
'Lucky!' - I heard from someone passing by
As I came out of the embryo.
I struggled badly for water
And consequently the food.
Winds gave their best to uproot me,
Floods tried their level best to conquer me.
But me, determined, continued my gradual growth.
Fought with the obstacles,
Sometimes felt like dying
But kept my fighting spirit alive!
I grew, I grew, I grew.
Surpassed the barricades,
Attained maturity.
People came to take help from me,
Helped them enormously.
Life was finally getting poised.
Suddenly he came with an axe
And truncated me into pieces.
Yes! I was a TREE.
