The Unresting Waves

The waves that used

To rise and fall,

Leaping swiftly from crest to trough

The waves that I thought,

Had come to rest,

Did they rise again?

Or were they latent

In the unforeseen recession of the Ocean?

Hinting a catastrophe!

Even if there is destruction

Let the casualties be minimal

And of course there is hope

Of cleansing and of Renaissance.
