The Tiny Baby Sap
The Tiny Baby Sap

There I went to mamma's garden
"Hey, you!" I heard a beckoning
Where did it come from?
I lend a close ear at the voice
It was soft, delicate and spongy
I reckon it came from the South
I turned my back and spotted
Ah! There bloomed a gorgeous red flower
Bloomed in the most cared one
I drew close
But, the flower didn't call me
Though I still heard the voice
Alas!
Eyebrows raised, I looked down
In the face of anxiety
"I called", said a weeping sap
"Why are you crying?"
"The gardener will pluck me today"
As it burst into tears
And it reverberated with my eyes
"Gentle friend, I'll save you"
As I plucked it
And safely placed in my study
It smiled
The brightest I ever saw
"Now you have to study with me", I winked
"Alas!" As it burst into laughter
"Will you?" I scolded
As the bud nodded
In the gentle breeze
