The summer triangle - Story of Altair &Vega...
She looked at him longingly,
Knowing that the wait would end soon,
When she could run back into the warm embrace
Of her love - which was doomed,
She gazed at her fingers, missing the promise ring,
Taking her back to the billion year old fable of early spring,
When the Gods, descended down cursing them,
To be separated for ages and age,
She reminisced the pleas, they made to the golden stage,
Which are were left to no avail,
But once did courtesy and pity fell on them,
As the angels promised a day of love for 'em,
She came back to the present, thanks to the lights,
Telling her that, it was the meeting night,
The time has come when, no boundaries are to be left uncrossed,
Letting the angels giggle and sing,
On the day of joy, when they once again held hands,
There were showers of flowers and pleasantries exchanged,
As, she, the bride descended the aisle,
Belittling the stars with the couple's glistening eyes,
And when everything was settled and rings exchanged,
Rang the bells and murmurs filled,
But the eyes of those separated by the river,
Welled up with fresh set of tears,
As decades are to be counted again & again, till the age prevails...
