The Stain on Honesty
The Stain on Honesty
It creeps in shadows deep,
Where promises are sold
And difficult to keep.
The rules are bent,
And the truth is lost,
And justice pays a heavy cost.
Behind closed doors,
the greedy deals are made,
While honesty is about to fade.
It takes away the trust and hope,
And turns fair ambition into smoke.
With every next day,
the world is growing cold,
And dreams are bought,
and values are being sold.
But now it’s a high time
We must take a stand,
And should clean this greed
from every stained hand.
For a society where truth can rule
Away from thoughts
That are deceitful.
