The outsider...

The outsider...

It's a strange but saddest truth,
You are an outsider in your own house,
Dreaming and aiming high in the fountain of youth,
With fears no ocean or river can douse!

The shore you took was so afar,
You came to a land picturesque,
Within stays every scary,
But you had to take the risk!

Gone are the days when you were consulted for plans,
Gone are the days when you knew family secrets,
You wonder if these are your clans,
As time moving forward rewrites and resets!

They look at you now with a cold, distant gaze,
You yearn for the old love and affection,
You sit like a ghost in the afternoon haze,
Feeling met with a quiet, unspoken rejection!

For the life that you left has shifted its pace,
Their routines go on, and you never come back,
You look for your home but can't find a trace,
You are just an outsider in your own  childhood track!
