The Neutron Star
The Neutron Star

Cursed be thou, Unholy Times!
To leave a dismal mess-
To sow a rose, the purest white,
In Saharan wilderness!
Shooting well, thou sent a star.
Flickering, the slightest bit,
It sent shivers down the spines
Of grotesque brutes beneath.
Bright it dazzled all about
Little the Woods did know
A luminous soul, so profound,
Was to bid Adieu.
What fairness was to be had
Of bawdy Destiny
Leaving a child unchaperoned
In the beastly company?
Cold and icy winds had blown
Upon the flowing stream
#RIPping into oblivion
Forsaking was the scheme.
Lonesome Musings built their nest
And Despair
was the guest.
Heartless lots were merrying;
The heart was hanged to rest.
Could the hands be more idle?
Lifting a spirit high
Was easier to accomplish than
Picking a phrase to cry.
A lonely star
Sits in the sky
It starts to flicker
and begins to cry
A lonely star
looks down on us all
It takes a step
and starts to fall
A lonely star
blinks his goodbyes
his light goes out
Can you catch a star
An unlucky line untraced
A mad soul that won’t be erased
Without a prick of blood
The tears of the sorrowful
That weep tonight
Lets fall in the silence
For we are in reverie
Deep down
