The Music Of Nightingale
The Music Of Nightingale
The Nightingale broke into a melodious song
Which went for all night long.
There was sweetness and beauty in the song
But that was a sad song.
I sat by my window to hear her sing the stories
She gathered while flying with her wing.
The song relates the tale of a girl with
A broken heart.
The misery which has torn her tender
Heart apart.
Her tears wetting the book of poem,
Papers scattered like dry leaves in her room.
She cries as her once love was now someone
Else groom.
The nightingale sings the song of a woman playing
Piano sitting beside her husband.
She sings a song of her lost love as with a hand
Beside her, her husband stand.
Her tone of misery for her loss plays with her tune,
As her husband absentmindedly counts his fortune.
The nightingale sings of the youth who again
Lost the battle of life.
From door to door he travelled for job but
Without any hope of light.
He sits alone with his files and documents and
Eats stale bread.
Loneliness and misery engulfing him as he
Nimble his bread.
The nightingale sings about the old mother
Whose son is at war?
Praying for the health of the son who is
Fighting for the country very far.
It also relates to the mother's sitting
At an old age, home looking at stars.
Thinking about the sons who with their
Wives eat at five stars.
The nightingale sings a song of the children
Of orphanage looking at the sky.
Try very hard to locate their parents
In the sky.
As the dawn approaches she concludes her
Song with hope.
With bright light, she fills every heart with hope
And concludes her song.
I close my window with the hope to again
Hear her song.
