The Moon

A darkened sky

With multi-directional signs

Oh dear Moon, but you are the one I can rely

Can someone tell me where do you reside?

We share a rhythm

A hearbeat for a lifetime

And only then when you skip a beat on that day

I miss you the most on those nights. 

Chilly days with hot coffee mugs

I smile at you and you shyly hide behind the clouds

I realize how lucky I am 

For someone's really out there looking at me everytime.

Hard phases of a life

Why do only humans survive?

Look there, that's my friend, my Moon

Who suffers oddness everyday 

Yet it shines out amongst all being the brightest at night.

Oh Moon, dear Moon

You have been my hope 

You have been a friend through complexities and thorny rides

Upto another lifetime, i seek a companion in you

Oh my cherished Moon, for me would you be this boon?
