The Maiden In White
The Maiden In White
I saw her,
The maiden in white
She was crying
In the middle of the night.
Oh yes
I did see her
In my yard,
I am 100 percent sure.
I was drinking water,
When I heard a soft cry.
I looked at a woman
And asked 'why?'
She made no reply,
But continued to weep
And I presumed
That she was hurt inside deep.
Yes, she stood right there,
Looking like a lump
But little did I know
That she was about to jump.
She sobbed a little,
Then looked at me,
And then she jumped.
I couldn't believe what I had to see.
I had no heart
To go and see
Her dead outside.
But, I am a brave little soul, this is me.
I went to see,
But there was absolutely no one.
I went to bed scared,
Until up rose the sun.
I told my creepy tale
To everyone I knew,
They all laughed and smirked at me,
Except for a few.
But I shall carry this memory to my grave
Of the maiden in white.
She was crying
In the middle of the night.
