THE LIFE I HAVE
THE LIFE I HAVE
The life I have isn't mine
I know, I owe it to the divine.
I know my maker lives and
Tells me gently that I am his.
To know that I belong,
To know that I am his
Is a thought that I love to cherish.
In this world of greed and pride
That makes another to suffer and cry.
In this world of life and death
Where joys and sorrows
Exists side by side,
It is way beyond my comprehension
Why the god who made the stars and sky
Would love me much and be my constant guide?
Too wonderful to fathom
That I am his
And he is there beside to lead me through.
He sent his son who died for me
And bore my sins and washed me clean
It is the power of his cleansing blood
It is the power of his nail pierced hand
It is the power of his tender love
That makes me think, that I belong
That I belong to the one who made
The stars and sky and the universe.
His love for me makes me feel that
The life I have isn't mine,
But I owe it to the divine.
