The escape
The escape
Their love had been torn apart.
But neither of them had the heart,
To say goodbye,
So there they lie
Waiting for the midst of it to die out.
So that they could take their route
And make a break,
Towards a lake,
To finish their great escape.
But first they had to scrape
Past the fire of guns,
That had buried many loved ones.
The fire had soon died.
From which they pried
Out of the space,
That had kept them safe.
They ran to the lake,
When a noise made his heart ache.
He turned to his right,
Where he no longer saw his light,
With their eyes shining bright.
But drop dead as the t,
And all his fears came true.
Gone his lover, and all he knew.
