The Dopehead

I knew I was only one step away from death ,

Although I was counting on my last breaths,

but still couldn't resist to take those pills,

Gradually I never came to know, when I grew that ill, 

My sickness kept growing, making me incapable of even lifting a sprout,

 And that's when my inner self gave me a shout,

Immediately, I realised how incompetent I was to fight the world outside,

Nevertheless, I thought of my bride who was acquiesce but would still abide,

That's when I never looked back and started to walk in the direction ahead,

 My addiction became difficult to be dealt,

Inspite of that I never left hope for my bride,

Who was looking forward to wake on the same bed,

And that's when I cracked it, and at the church my knee knelt,

I was on my knees for my bride who took all the hardships and that's when her heart melt,

I proposed her to be my Miss Perfect,

And that's what she had never expect,

she said a big YESS!

She looked up at the sky as if thanking God to be finally blessed,

Gradually we started building a Centre to help others with drug addiction,

And that's how the story ends happily as if in fiction!.
