The Dark Ecstasy

The Dark Ecstasy

The darkest hour casting its gloomy shadow…

The gentle breeze soothing the cotton meadow…

The winding rivers…gushing down the downward stream…

As the stars twinkle… making the black sky gleam…

A lone hut stood… in the far away distance…

A muddy road led up to the thatched entrance…

Surrounded by flowers… that shone in the pearl light…

Their bellowing fragrance getting the heart go bright…

A cheerful laughter tears through the silent night…

As children run out… with smiles on right…

Scantily dressed… they had no care of the around…

As they treaded and ran… on unexplored ground…

And here we are…. in our high glass buildings…

Encaged by walls… with lights on our ceilings…

Engulfed by worry and how the world thinks of us…

As we try harder… to change their perception of us…

How I wish… I could get back to the bright meadows…

How I wish… I could play with my moon cast shadows…

How I wish… I could live that gleeful fantasy…

How I wish… I could live in the DARK ECSTASY…
