The Chosen Path

Multiple opportunities placed in front of me, 

But there was one, for now, I could see, 

Carefully studying every possibility, 

I chose the one within my abilities. 

The others seemed just as fair, 

No doubt they had their own share, 

I wanted to learn an ability rare, 

With no second thoughts, my decision I declared. 

Every day a new beginning, 

Chance to learn something new, 

I wished the means have no

But for now, life offered chances few. 

Today, I look back and think 

My education has gone in a blink, 

I have no regrets about my decision, 

The words I learnt, lessons taught gave me a vision. 

When I look at the other path not chosen, 

I still have the opportunity to walk by,

When I think about the wisdom I found in words 

I smile, sigh and say 

That has made all the difference.
