The Bird That Never Came Down
The Bird That Never Came Down
Blimey! At balcony, a minuscule adorability
Perched atop a high pole prettily
My myopic eyes scrunched curiously
To catch and preach the little fairy.
The heaven aloft looked pleasing azure
The patterned floor below welcomed the bird- an innocent soul
For there was laid a warped silver platter upon crashed heap of biscuits gold
I wished fervidly from far "may the squeaky little thing fly to dine askew!"
Queenliest touch some of the tidbits scattered and enchanted sweeping croon
But alas yonder it stood as static as a statue!
For a mere, memorable seconds aloof!
Gorblimey! It shook my darned heart unheeding downward.
Then it flew westward my eyes dejected though pursued
I smiled lovingly at its flippant flapping of wings
Making me heart hastily swap its solemn sandals
As though its timid soul wanted me for a buoyant dance in its homely air
O little bird, I long for you! Come down, come down.
