The Bequeathal
The Bequeathal
Once upon a time this house had a large family,
Singing and dancing, full of glee.
Children running all over the place,
Crowded.. yet everyone had their space.
Now they have all flown the nest,
Out in the world, doing their best.
Let us make this a foster home
For those who have no none to call their own.
Let it be a home for those who are alone,
Despondent, dejected and forlorn.
We will have love and so will they,
We will look after them come what may.
Often we feel lonesome, dear
When they come, our house will be full of cheer.
They will have a family
And so will we.
Come, my dear, let us sign this bond to make the house come alive
Just as it was, in the days gone by
Festivities will once again take the floor,
As it did in the days of the yore!
