The Applause

You stand on the stage and look at your peers,

You have come very far,

Nobody can see your struggles, Your tears

For you tested yourself

By raising the bar,

You finish your talk you can hear the Applause,

They look at you with admiration,

They admire you because,

You are an inspiration.

It was not like this at the beginning of the journey,

The people mocked your schemes,

You said I will make it one day,

I will make my own destiny,

When they laughed at your dreams.

You carved your own path, your own way,

Insulted, humiliated, mocked at

 By everyone,

 But you never gave up, you  

 Had come to stay.

One day you said I too will rise like the sun.

Any message for us someone

Asked from the crowd,

I was looking at the stars, 

You were looking at the sky

That we know you, someone said, makes us proud.

For you always aimed high,

For We have come here to listen to you,

We have come here to see you, to applaud,

I am a human being too,

Treat me like one, and not like a god.

For when you start on your journey,

Believe in yourself your schemes,

For you will then make your

Destiny,

Always follow your instincts, 

And your dreams.
