Tales from Yesterday

Tales from Yesterday

Amidst the rustling leaves of autumn's song,

Where memories dance and dreams belong,

I wander back to days of sunlit gold,

To the land of nostalgia, now untold.

Beneath the moon's soft and silvery gleam,

Visions of yesteryears begin to teem,

Faces and places, a cherished array,

In the tapestry of time, they forever stay.

Through the corridors of my heart, they tread,

Whispers of laughter, once so widespread,

In the attic of my mind, treasures reside,

A chest of emotions, impossible to hide.

Oh, nostalgia's embrace, a gentle caress,

In the corners of my soul, it does impress,

The scent of rain on a summer's day,

A moment locked in time, never to stray.

A carousel of memories starts to spin,

A kaleidoscope of moments within,

Like shooting stars, they streak and shine,

Reminding me of life once mine.

The playgrounds we roamed, carefree and wild,

The friendships that bloomed, pure and mild,

Oh, how I long to travel back in time,

To relive those days is so sublime.

Yet time marches forward, relentless and fast,

Leaving nostalgia's shadows to be cast,

But I'll keep these memories close to my heart,

For they are the essence of who I impart.

So, let the winds of nostalgia blow,

As seasons change, and new memories grow,

For in the tapestry of life's design,

Nostalgia weaves the threads that bind.
