Take Me To France
Take Me To France
Take me to the country of France
I deliberately need a drink from the vintage bar of Paris.
Taking the corner table and boozing the champagne
Writing my poetry and filling my pages.
Illustrating the most beautiful girl I met at the street
And longing to take her to the Eiffel tower for a photograph.
Take me to the country of France.
Let me brew poetry and love in my mind!
Let me accept kiss as an art and not as lust
Envision love in the heart and not on the face
And to sip the wine from the same Tavern she sipped ago
Leaving the red lipstick mark for me as a gift!
Take me to the country of France
Let me enjoy the chapters of my favourite book
And kiss the last page of the Novel, when I complete
As the complement to the author.
Dreaming my days of past I cuddled with her
And looking through the window of that old fashioned building....
Once again take me to the country of France!
