Standing by myself

I try not to break down

Stronger I tell myself

'Coz I have to last long.

My family needs me

I have to earn money

All these sharp edges won't tear me apart

Needles and stitches make a good fix

Lovely birthdays and occasions

Decorate my life for a day

Next morning is like all others

A headache.

Truly, I need a break

I want to start all over again

But scissors and blades come in handy

Pain gives pleasure

And calmness, I guess

It is all thanks to my so-called friends.

A new beginning,

I hope everything changes

As I am not that bad

I need happiness in my life too

As I have been for a long time, sad.
