Spring 's Secret
Spring 's Secret
There were times, in our place,
Brides came to the dais
Glimmering in gold, always coy,
Departing with their owning boys.
The moon reigned above their bowers
The koels sang from happy abodes.
The times having changed
Our brides are all gone;
Only girls
Ordering online pizza ,sandwich, whatever.
Looking for who's green in tab
Fixing their men, fixing dates, to
Go missing on nuptial flight; invariably
Bring the Spring's knowledge, known
Once only to ancient trees.
Empresses of destiny, our girls happily
Look into wombs for progeny,
Move on, unmindful of chains trying to catch up.
