Spaces

Spaces

Spaces between the fingers

where a satin touch yet lingers,

Empty gaze of two eyes

heaves miserably, filled with sighs

Crevasses yearning to melt away

but, shadows keeping the dawns at bay

Deafening silences hoping to hear-

The hymn of life that love would bear.

If only these voids could define

completeness of soul and mind,

If only this desolate home

Could harbour this body alone.

All they fathom is, love, that you

Can bridge the hollow with your sinew.
