Soul conqueror

Weary of the teary-eyed silence, I stood there,

Amidst all odds, trying to figure out the diagonals of life,

Well accused by opportunities for letting them leave,

I knew not what was more grievous,

Was it me being tired of all the agonies imposed by life on me,

Or, was it me being so reluctant of life's care and being unfathomably unfaithful?

All was calm except my mind's clatter, hammering my conscience,

Or, was it hammering my entire existence,

The pain seemed unbearable.

The lashes of success, agonies of truth,

And then the thorns of hopelessness that pierced through my canvas of life.

Life is not what we paint alone but few colours get smeared unknowingly in the journey.

I looked into the mirror and found hollowness staring at me,

Times of uncertainty often bred disappointment and emptiness,

I was aware of the same but kept moving on,

The scattered clouds would clear up and make way for the sun,

I had to believe as faith never fails you even when destiny does.

I walked past the gloomy roads with courage,

The courage of fighting one's inner despair often requires utmost resolution,

I dared to dream and dreams led me forward,

And at the end of a tiresome, hectic journey,

There stood the most beautiful lush green meadows of success.
