Snowfall Of Chalk Dust
Snowfall Of Chalk Dust
Dust fell from the corners of that green board
Bodies from a flurry of words sprinkled across transgressing worlds
Little white dots on the wooden floor
Some from words of sorrow, some from tears of love
Some from fights forgotten
Some from jokes laughed at
Some from prints of friendship
All knit together into a canvas of life
Dust of life accumulated on the wooden floor
Proof of generations that come by
Proof of emotions that roll high
Yet they lay unnoticed, too often left unbothered
Until one day comes a wind
So bright, a timeless spectacle
Little by little the snow rises in the air
Little by little the canvas turns clean
The memories blown away
The messages now immortal in the hands of the sky
The wooden floor looks on
For another winter of emotions
And a snowfall of chalk dust.
