Shrieks Unheard

Shrieks Unheard

On the outskirts of the city

Prevails darkness without alacrity

There lie arcane deep emotions behind

With a story laced to unwind

There lived an untouchable family

Midst of the chaos unhappily

A suffering father with a minimum wage

With his supporting wife inside the house cage

Their daughter was fascinated by a temple

But they were barely allowed by the people

This was their life filled with prejudice

Which words would never suffice

They had their only valuable daughter

But fate challenged her to be a fighter

Having diagnosed with an unfathomable disease

They set out for her treatment unease

Cries and screams were hidden inside

The beautiful smiles to confide

Their little world was shattered in parts

With an enigmatic pain in their hearts

Local doctors refused to treat her

For she had no worth to refer

Broken father's heart sank in the gloom

For his only daughter was dying in the room

The darkness that started to deepen

Little do the broken parts sweeten

Despite the constant efforts in treatment

The charges never lowered even for a moment

The dying daughter's last wish

Was to visit that temple, to cherish

In spite of the abiding criticism

Her parents fulfilled it with purism

Helpless father's endless pain

A crying mother who couldn't refrain

Their daughter dying in front of their eyes

Her inaudible voice echoes in the skies

Remembering the faded memories

Of her lovely childhood in series

Aren't their verses meant for the fable

Just because they are untouchable?
