Shattered Soul

To accomplish my goals;

I strived my best, 

Devoted exclusively;

Passing over the rest. 

None ever thought;

Failure would be my part,

I wept a lot;

With a shattered heart.

All I received;

Was disrespect, 

The phrases were harsh;

For me to accept. 

Losing all faiths;

I felt to quit, 

What I listened to;

Was the message to sit. 

The messages I heard;

Nowhere but from inside, 

It knew everything;

Nothing was to hide. 

You are not a quitter;

Try it again, 

There's anyhow a sunny day;

Thereupon the rain. 

I agreed to try;

Speculating in me, 

What's in my portion;

Let me also see. 

Putting all my efforts;

I put on my best, 

Devoted entirely, 

Ignoring the rest. 

No! not again! 

That's difficult to believe, 

Failure was my part, 

I agreed to leave. 

For the step I took;

Sorry to all, 

For my parents;

I was a pretty doll.
