My Heartbeat was pounding,

Hearing the crickets chirping,

Darkness has spread its wing,

Creating obstacles in my searching,

Lost my way due to a petty fight with my sibling,

The deserted road increased my fears as I started whining,

A Shadow started following,

I was beginning to get an inkling,

Wherever I went the shadow kept emerging,

The wind started whooshing,

The branches of the trees were swaying,

Running and Running,

I reached a familiar road link,

Not stopping and profusely sweating,

Finally, I found my home and I stopped panicking,

I saw my grandparents worrying,

I began apologising and stepped in,

The shadow started disintegrating,

With final words uttered,

"Take care, dear! I am always with you"

I started sobbing,

As I started realising,

It was my deceased mother's voice!
