On the way to college...

Some images fall in my eyes ...

A line of shops some big and small...

And sometimes on the road some flowers scattered where procession passed by...

And there seen graveyards one with crosses...

The other through the smell of which resembles the burnt mosquito on an electric bat...

And the last one where tombs can be hardly seen left unused....

Those are the images which

Once haunted me umpteen times of fear of death which I swallowed through my mother's loss.

I passed by the shops in which the chickens in cages and some fowls for meat..

Over the coop or cage stood crows to remind ,"together we are fowl but all can't be butchered".... I saw a duck once in the cage going to be a meat in the feast of someone.

I had seen a sheep as well nearby eating greens knowing nothing of its life....

And some sheep

And their legs being tightly tied, hung and sometimes kept in a box of a two wheeler...

I wished I could open the cages of chickens, ducks,

And untie the goats, sheep, stray cows ...

Thinking about it I headed back home...

Looked at the mirror and sneered at my look

..And something within me said,

"Who do you want to free, untie, fly....?

I smiled with no answer but deep

Looked at myself and passed by the mirror...
