Self Love

No one taught me to love myself,

No one taught me to care about myself

No one taught me to respect my own self

But, all they taught me was how to love others and spread love themselves... 

No one cared if I was alone and cried

No one cared if I was suffering and dying inside

No one cared if I was hiding my scars and needed some space,

But, all they cared about was my cheerful and bright smile covering my face.

But the day I learned to love myself,

The day I accepted myself just the way I'm

The day I accepted all my flaws and scream

Was the day I started developing a love for myself...

The day I realized that no one will stay except me,

The day I realized that everyone comes into my life to take advantage of me

The day I realized that no one stays with me in my tough times,

Was the day I realized that it's better to let it go sometimes.

And now, I decide to fall in love with myself,

I decide to love the person I see in the mirror every day

I decide to spend the best moments with myself

And in the end, I decide to be happy in whatever life offers each day.
